Help Defeat the Deceptively Named "Employee Free Choice Act"
Contact Your Members of Congress to oppose card check agreements and any union effort to organize small businesses by eliminating the private ballot.
Tell your Senators and Representatives to oppose S. 560/H.R. 1409, the deceptively named "Employee Free Choice Act of 2009." This legislation is an effort by organized labor to seek union recognition outside of the long-protected secret ballot election. It would allow a union to organize a business simply by convincing a majority of employees to sign authorization cards, leaving workers vulnerable to misinformation, intimidation and coercion by union advocates. It also would keep business owners uninformed about these "card check" organizing drives.
